Gina V Physical TherapyIn physical therapy, we evaluate and treat abnormal physical function related to, for example, an injury, disability, disease or condition. According to a recent study from the Center For Disease Control and Prevention there are 38.2 million people living a physical functioning difficulty. In short, our team at Gina V. Physical Therapy help this population get back to doing the things they love to do.

What is a physical therapist? A physical therapist, like Gina V., is a trained and licensed medical professional with experience in diagnosing physical abnormalities, restoring physical function and mobility, maintaining physical function, and promoting physical activity and proper function.

Although licensed physical therapists can be found in a vast array of healthcare settings including outpatient offices, private practices, hospitals, rehab centers, nursing homes, home health, sports and fitness settings, schools, hospices, etc., Gina V. is a privately owned physical therapy clinic just off main street in Papillion, Nebraska.

What Should Patients Expect from A Physical Therapist

Gina V. and her team of physical therapists and physical therapy assistants will help coordinate care in conjunction with your primary care physician. Gina V. Physical Therapy will take care of patients in all phases of healing, from initial diagnosis through the restorative and preventive stages of recovery.

Gina and her team often work closely with physicians or nurse practitioners where patients are regularly referred to Gina V. for physical therapy but patients may choose to seek physical therapy on their own.

Once an appointment is scheduled, Gina V. patients should expect:

  • Undergo a physical exam and evaluation, including a health history and certain testing procedures, including evaluation of posture, movement and flexibility, and of muscle and joint motion and performance
  • Receive a clinical diagnosis, prognosis, plan of care and short and long term goals
  • Receive physical therapy treatment and intervention based on the therapist’s evaluation and diagnosis
  • Receive self-management recommendations for home

Positive physical therapy outcomes often require the patient to do exercises at home, to help them improve their function more quickly. Gina V. and her team will train the patient in exercises that they can do at home.

Physical Therapy isn’t something to be afraid of. We think you’ll find our physical therapy environment to be warm, friendly and effective. Our mission is to help our patients get back to doing the things they love to do as quickly as possible.
